Abstract


Nowadays, with the rapid development of economy and technology, the success of the reforming and opening up of our country and the fast increase of our national economy, the unceasing enlargement of enterprises’ scale, it has become a very formidable and pressing task for modern enterprises on how to manage their assets and dispose resources reasonably. It is impossible for the traditional handwork management pattern to carry out overall, timely and effective management for the use, discarding, idleness and repair of assets. In the course of time, it will cause the phenomenon such as the repetitive investment, resource waste and a plate of loss of assets, and then cause certain loss to enterprises. Therefore, it is imperative for enterprises t o improve their information management of fixed assets. The information management system of fixed assets (MIS) developed by this paper is to help enterprises friends to solve the above-mentioned problems. In this system, we have adopted two layers of structure--- C/S (CLIENT/DATABASE SERVER), therefore the realization of this system mainly includes two aspects: the establishment and maintenance of the backstage database and the development of the front application. It is necessary for the database to establish a base of strong consistency& integrity and good safety of data; Application asks such characteristics as complete functions, easy to learn and easy to use, etc.; the adoption of the engineering and object-oriented thought has offered guidance for the successful and fast development of this software.The information management system of fixed assets is an important component of ERP system and it mainly operates around the information management of assets. According to users’ requirement, this system may realize assets’ typing, calculating and drawing depreciation, assets’ assessment, original value repetition, assets’ decreasing and assets’ reducing preparation, etc. What’s more, it has also offered rich inquiry functions such as detailed assets’ balance table, list of depreciation and arbitrary summary table to users. The information management system of fixed assets makes great effort to provide users with convenient and shortcut way to manage these fussy data. Through analyzing the demands of uses’ business, in the front application part we use the development tool PowerBuider9.0 of the Power Soft Company in the front application part. During the course of the entire development, it is based on the existed communal kind base to carry out the development for the furthest realization of code reuse, and then guide with the engineering method so as to ensure the just and reliable development of this system. First, establish the system application prototype in short time, and then carry out demand iteration for initial prototype system, revise and improve constantly up to form the satisfactory feasible system for users. Then the backstage server adopts SYBASE database and uses its advantages such as supporting a large amount of data bulk, high performance of multi-households to handle general affairs and control the safety and integrity, as well as transplant ability, compatibility and connection in order to make great effort to establish a database of reliable safety and realize the system better.
