Abstract


The Curriculum Management System (CMS) had reached more than 60 types up to June,2007 since it gained development in developed countries after 1980s. The most famous CMS are Blackboard Learning System,Sakai and Moodle.Moodle gets some development in our country because of its powerful functions, open-source platform and free use of the character.JAVA , as an important object-oriented computer language ,extensively applies on webpage making, program development, mobile interconnection, computer games and so on. Therefore, it has also become a professional computer course in colleges. As a computer language, only depending on explanations in class can’t make all the students understand and grasp well during the teaching process. Teachers and students urgently need an activity as well as a resource which could help organize teaching and studying, providing for the teachers and students an informationized learning environment and promoting high quality teaching of virtual learning platform. Moodle is one of the best choice.This paper attempts to apply task-driven teaching according to the characteristics of JAVA language and design a network course assisting students for their better study. It pays attention to the cultivation of students’autonomous learning and innovation ability, learning computer language method, mastering computer programming idea and the ability of using computer language programming independently.
