Abstract

Due to the unique structure and morphology, nano-materials derived a variety ofunique properties, which lead to broad application in many fields. The application ofnanomaterials to the construction of electrochemical sensors, owing to the favourableadsorption performance and catalytic properties, can greatly facilitate the performanceof electrochemical sensors. In particular, the construction of electrochemical sensorplatform based on the special properties of nanomaterials, has attracted increasinginterests in electrochemical analysis field. In this paper, mesoporous silica and graphene sheets are applied to theconstruction of electrochemical sensor platform, while the functional modification ofnanomaterials is performed to improve the sensitivity and selectivity of theelectrochemical sensor. In this paper, two kinds of nano-materials, mesoporous silica and graphenesheets, were synthesised and well functional modified. The obtained nano-materialswere used to study the electrochemical behavior of aromatic environmental pollutants, including naphthol, chlorophenol, and nitrochlorobenzene. The electrochemicalresearch and determination of naphthol isomers at the amino-modified mesoporoussilica electrode are completed while the chlorophenol isomers are also well studiedand detected at the cyclodextrin functionalized graphene modified electrode. Inaddition, the nitrochlorobenzene isomers are studied at cyclodextrin functionalizedmesoporous silica electrode, and p-nitrochlorobenzene can be trace detected of trace.Based on the work above, electrochemical sensing interface for a variety of aromaticpollutants’ determination based on nanomaterials, are well constructed and the law ofelectrochemical oxidation of aromatic contaminants on the nanomaterial sensinginterface was well drawd and discussed.
