Lubricant affects the lubrication and cooling during rolling. Its performance plays a crucial role in the rolling stability and strip surface quality. There are a lot of iron particles in the lubricants after a long-term use. These iron particles affect the ability of lubricants as well as the friction coefficient. This paper is about the research of friction coefficient in cold rolling with lubricants of iron particles. And this paper also analyzed the influence factor of friction coefficient.This paper studies on iron particles size in the lubricants. We find that when the iron content is increased, the iron particle size is increased too. In this paper, we use the orthogonal experimental design method to study pressure, mill speed, iron content, particle size and strip material effect on friction coefficient. We set up a lot of experiments on the friction and wear tester, and draw the relation curve of the friction coefficient. Through the analysis of influence factors on the friction coefficient, we optimize the lubrication system coefficient of typical steel.
