Abstract

China has become the world's second largest economy, rapid economic development, China has also become the world's first carbon dioxide emitting countries. The purpose of this paper is to put forward policy recommendations on the use of foreign capital to help China's energy saving toward low-carbon economy \In this paper, using time series and panel data using co-integration analysis, Granger causality test and dynamic panel GMM estimation method, studied the impact of foreign direct investment in China and other countries of the world carbon dioxide emissions, as well as China and the world the impact of their carbon dioxide emissions, the country's foreign investment an empirical test, a comparative study of the above results. This article concluded, from a total point of view, China and other countries in the development of foreign direct investment has played a significant leading role on carbon emissions, but also affect the performance of this driven more pronounced than in other countries, and in the foreign direct investment in developed countries had no significant effect on carbon emissions. Foreign investment in countries around the world for their own carbon dioxide emissions only weak inhibition of influence only to a small extent, that the increase of foreign investment in countries around the world to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions. Judging from the sub-sector use of foreign direct investment, China's absorption of foreign direct investment were mainly channeled to the manufacturing industry, such as consumption and construction industries with higher energy consumption, So all in all these sectors due to the use of foreign carbon dioxide emissions resulting from direct investments also in the public living in the top few in the industry. Economies of scale carbon dioxide emissions, there is a significant leading role, and this leading role was significantly greater than the use of foreign direct investment in the leading role.
