Abstract


WebGIS is the combination of GIS technology and the product of Web technology in recent years have been greatly developed . With increasing requirements for WebGIS , WebGIS system includes GIS functionality and business logic more complex, traditional Web technology can not meet the continued development of WebGIS , then RIA technologies emerged, it desktop applications interactive experience with the traditional Web application deployment flexibility combine well positioned to meet the modern needs of users. Papers in the study and summarize a large number of domestic and foreign research results and the latest computer technology , based on the introduction of Adobe Flex technology as WebGIS client presentation layer , to explore and REST-style architecture designed in this way develop WebGIS system is simple , strong scalability and reduces the burden on the server , the client responsive and user experience of greatly enhanced. Finally thesis Shenyang Tourism query system, for example , the use of Flex Builder framework to develop WebGIS system call ESRI released ArcGIS Server REST API resources to achieve some of the basic functions of GIS to show the Flex and REST- based WebGIS advantage. Compared with the traditional WebGIS system , Flex and REST- based WebGIS WebGIS system developed to overcome the existing poor interaction exists , defects such as slow response , capable of rendering richer, stronger user interface experience for WebGIS application provides the performance of a brand new mechanism .
