Abstract


The courtyard is the most important spatial prototype in Chinese traditional architecturespace organizational form. This text researched courtyard’s sources, features and develop toinfluence its culture elements, through comprehensive analyzed these about relative elementseffects. Use typology to analyze the traditional courtyard space form, through abstract andsimplify form to conclude that the traditional housing courtyard’s substantial spatialrelations and design skills.On this basis, to make inductive analysis into the development of modern architecturein the courtyard, courtyards function of modern architecture and space form of the modernarchitecture concept. Space organization and space form of the traditional courtyard wasfound to have the applicability to use in modern buildings. And starting from the ancientChinese philosophy, it can be seen from the conventional wisdom of ancient Chinese hopedto create a concept is to keep a harmonious relationship with nature, and nature is absolutelymore important than man-made building."Courtyard" This space morphology is themanifestation of the wisdom architectural forms. The values-based, to analyze the space formof traditional Chinese courtyard, and space organization form in the application of modernarchitecture, and hope to absorb nutrition through learn from the traditional concept, discussform root of the problem, thus it is better to solve the space problems faced by the presentbuilding.
