Abstract

In this paper, when the Rashba effect was considered, the properties of a strong-coupling bound polaron in a quantum dot are studied by using improved linear combination operator and the unitary transformation methods. The relations of the vibration frequency, the ground state energy, the effective mass and the interaction energy of a strong-coupling bound polaron with the change of the confinement strength, speed and coulomb bound potential of the polaron are derived. The numerical results for RbCl crystal indicate that the vibration frequency, the ground state energy, the effective mass and interaction energy of the strong-coupling bound polaron in a quantum dot are increasing with the increasing confinement strength. The vibration frequency, the effective mass and the interaction energy are increasing with the increasing the speed of polaron. In opposite, the ground state energy is decreasing. The vibration frequency and the effective mass are increasing with the increasing the coulomb bound potential of the polaron. On the contrary, the ground state energy and the interaction energy are decreasing. Considering the Rashba effect, the ground state energy and the effective mass split into two curves which up and down. And the ground state energy and the interaction energy are decreasing with the increasing the Rashba effect. But vibration frequency is not affected by the Rashba effect. The properties of a strong-coupling bound magneopolaron in a quantum dot are studied by using improved linear combination operator and the unitary transformation methods in the Rashba effect.
