Since the 20th century, in the situation of the high-tech information technology and promote expansion of commercial culture, there has a conflict between the Chinese traditional art and the reality of aesthetic cultural which let the whole of China was stunned, the traditional Chinese art have also shown an unprecedented passive. Journals as media arts and culture are undergoing tremendous change, and cover design occupies an important position. Education journals is an important part of the journal, it has a relatively fixed audience, so the design of education journals cover should be to adjust timely. This paper analyze the aesthetic characteristics of education journals cover design by using the literature review, example illustrating, list statistics and other ways, and summarized to the changes of cover design from generation to development of education journals, education journals cover design and other journals were compared to analyze the advantages and deficiencies, and thus the future journal of education trends and general standpoint to do a simple, hoping for future work can be instructive.The paper studies from the following aspects:Chapter One, on overview of educational journals cover design. First, summarizing the situation of the overall history and development of journal cover design, then describes the history of and development of education journals cover design. And analyze the content and aesthetic value of the aesthetics of education journals cover design.Chapter Two, the reading of aesthetic characteristics of educational journals cover design. This paper analyzed the subject of the abstract form the arrangement of the main title, the using of color, font selection and image construction and so on. And lists a few of the major education journals cover design starting from the above sections, analyzed its advantages and disadvantages.Chapter Three, the aesthetic style and features of education journal cover design- comparison of several educational journals. mainly in several educational publications for the current analysis, summarized style, analyzing the problem.Chapter Four, the aesthetic trends of education journals cover design. The design of publication should grasp the aesthetic characteristics of the object to read, reflect the aesthetic principles of art binding, the creation of the unique style of art and design and enhance the aesthetic value of journal content. And taking the journal of“vocational and technical education”as an example, a typical case of selecting the design of the art education journals tend to be described.
