Abstract


The concept of core competence has been put forward by American scholars C.K.Prahalad and Gary Hamel in the article of the core competence of the company since 1990.Since then both the academic researches on core competence and applications of core competence in firm have been developed. It’s not just because the strategic development direction depends on its core competence, but also core competence is the important supportment of long-term stability and development for enterprises. In recent years, the trend of economic globalization and market competition situation require enterprises constantly cultivate their own core competence, in order to improve the market competition ability to obtain profit maximization. And for the soft packaging industry whose present market potential is tremendous, due to the homogenization of the product,fixed mode operation and the low technology requiring,most enterprise does not pay attention to cultivating core competence, did not form their own competitive advantage, which makes the blindly war on price and the profit space gradually narrowing. So the core competence evaluation research on packaging enterprise is more important.Only then can makes the enterprise that lacks of competitiveness realize the advantages, disadvantages and industry orientation in order to improve their core competence.The current evaluation research on core competence has been very deep, but for a specific industry the core competence research is far from enough, especially for soft packaging enterprise. Due to domestic soft packaging enterprise has not formed leading group and most enterprises in the same level of enterprise niche, rapid enhancement of core competitiveness to possess high niche become important strategic target for soft packing enterprise. This paper analyzes the core competence factors of flexible packaging enterprise from the niche angle, using factor analysis method to test, also established the evaluation system and evaluation model based on TOPSIS method. At last, we use the evaluation method to evaluate the concrete enterprise’s core competence, and give out the core competence strategy.
