Spasmodic dysphonia, Since 1871, the first is found, it is unclear etiology and pathogenesis of spasmodic dysphonia. Some experts think is the spirit of nature, some experts think is nervous, some experts think is the common function of the two results, some experts think is bad pronunciation habits cause, the cause has been the focus of debate. Spasmodic dysphonia, once mainstream considered psychogenic disorder, is a "conversion hysteria". But this explanation based on psychological treatment but little progress. Later, the medical community has gradually turned to explore the neural origin. Effect of short-term operation treatment and botulinum toxin injection in the treatment of neurogenic etiology, the interpretation becomes the mainstream medical community research and intervention. Botulinum toxin injection treatment method is currently widely used international. However, the symptoms of patients with recurrent interpretation of nerve pathological questions and challenges. Treatment of this disease, it is still a big problem for the field of international voice research. An important finding is, stress, trauma as a result of psychological, emotional factors, has a more obvious correlation with patients had symptoms. The purpose of this study was to further processing by using synchronous music desensitization (MEDR) technology to intervention by the trauma induced spasmodic dysphonia patients with traumatic events and emotions, to achieve improvements in symptoms. MEDR, is a method of music therapy for trauma intervention, there is a unique advantage of trauma treatment. This study firstly by MEDR in two patients with spasmodic dysphonia were trauma intervention, patients had symptoms have certain improvement. The results show that, MEDR has a certain effect on the treatment of spastic dysphonia caused by trauma. This study indicates that: the traumatic event may lead to an important factor spasmodic dysphonia, using MEDR intervention in patients of traumatic events, may improve by trauma induced spasmodic dysphonia patients had symptoms have certain effect. At the same time, this study is a preliminary attempt to MEDR on spastic dysphonia caused by trauma patients use, the results partly support the spasmodic dysphonia psychogenic pathology hypothesis, provides a new method for the treatment of spasmodic dysphonia.
