Abstract

Objectives: According to the study on factors that affect the posttraumatic resilience, resilience differences of people with different posttraumatic results were explored andanalyzed, aiming to promote their mental and psychological health outcomes, reduce themorbidity of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and provide basis for establishing theeffective and feasible intervention models. Methods:549inpatients of several largegeneral hospitals were selected with stratified cluster sampling method to complete thepsychological health status questionnaire, through the demographic data, EysenckPersonality Questionnaire, Scl-90, Job Stress Survey, Social Support Rating Scale tocomprehensive analysis the influencing factors of resilience. Then, those patients who hadpositive results in PTSD screening were set as the case group, while the others who hadnegative results were set as the control group, compare differences of resilience betweentwo groups. Results:1. individual resilience score at different age groups showedsignificant differences, and the resilience increased significantly with age, the differencewas statistically significant (P<0.05, P<0.01); the score difference of marital status inindividual strength subscale was statistically significant (P<0.05, P<0.01); the differenceof resilience score among different occupational groups in the future organization stylesubscale was statistically significant (P<0.05).2. Correlation analysis showed thatresilience was positively correlated to introversion and extroversion (P<0.05), and wasnegatively correlated to nervousness (P<0.05, P<0.01). The all resilience subscales werecorrelated to introversion and extroversion, nervousness (P<0.05, P<0.01); The totalresilience score was significantly negatively correlated to the total SCL-90score, anxietyand fear (P<0.05, P<0.01) and was negatively correlated to obsessive-compulsivesymptom, depression, hostility, paranoid, nervousness (P<0.05). The individual strengthsubscale was significantly negatively correlated to anxiety and fear(P<0.05, P<0.01). Thefuture organization style subscale was significantly negatively correlated to depression, anxiety and fear (P<0.05, P<0.01). The total SCL-90score was negatively correlated to individual strength, social resources and the future organization style(P<0.05); Individualstrength score in resilience subscale was negatively correlated to work strain index andorganizational support lacking index (P<0.05), the total resilience score was negativelycorrelated to organizational support lacking index (P<0.05); The total resilience score wassignificantly positively correlated to objective support (P<0.05, P<0.01) and positivelycorrelated to the total score of subjective support and social support (P<0.05). Familyunity and social resources subscales were significantly positively correlated to objectivesupport (P<0.05, P<0.01). The Individual strength, family unity and social resourcessubscales were positively correlated to social support and subjective support (P<0.05).The Individual strength and social skills subscales were positively correlated to objectivesupport (P<0.05). Social resources subscale was positively correlated to utilization ofsupport (P<0.05).3. Regression analysis results showed that the introversion andextroversion, nervousness, anxiety and objective support were the influencing factors ofresilience.4. Logistic regression analysis showed: resilience factors score and total scorewith PTSD incidence was significantly correlated (P <0.01, OR=1.976), the low resiliencescore individuals PTSD incidence were significantly higher than individuals with highresilience score. Conclusion:1. the individual resilience is closely related to PTSDpathogenesis, and individuals with lower resilience could be seen as high-risk groups aremore likely to suffer from PTSD than those with higher resilience;2. resiliencestrengthens with the age, richness of life experience, stability of family and business ofindividuals;3. individual personality characteristics (introversion and extroversion, nervousness), mental health status (depression, anxiety and fear), social and family’ssupport and help can exert certain effect on resilience.
