According to the conception of the Public and Private Realm, this thesis mainly analyses the critical practice in the public and private realm respectively. And the different characteristics of the public and private realm arouse the new conception of feminism accordingly, which includes participating in public affairs and expanding private realm.The public pursuit of modern feminism provides a valid way for modern females to walk out the dilemma and take a part in public affairs widely, which is participatory, competitive and cautious. In different situation, such as the western and eastern context, the feminism works show different characters.The feminist do not only achieves great development in the public realm, but also commits themselves to exploring the unique female character in the private realm and maintaining their individuality. Making the family realm public is the direction of the female private realm’s development, which considers the breach of limits in the family realm as the pivotal target. Particularly in the private writing, it produces unique and original reading experiences, but also stuck in reification.By the analysis of the relationship between the public and private realm, this thesis concludes that the feminism is developing from the Public and Private realm to Sex Poetics.Three parts mainly compose this thesis. The Chapter One researches the pursuit of modern females from three different angles, which is participatory, competitive and cautious, considering the practice of the western and eastern feminism. The Chapter Two introduces the limits of the family realm, which is the most important part of the private realm, and explains how to expand the private realm by overcoming those limits. The Chapter Three shows the future model of the feminism, which bases on the relationship between the public and private realm.
