Abstract


The development of the absurd has gone through a course fromthe art expression to the philosophy to the aesthetics. At the earlyphrase, weird is its original form, mainly shows on plot and image.This form of exaggerate transformation and comical humor havedisappeared quietly under the influence of myth, God and sense. Atthis time, absurd performed occasionally, unconscientiously, andits content is full of optimistic and rational temperament, and that’swhy it’s not transferred into theme layer but just as a factor. Withthe fading of the influence of God and sense, the rise of instinct andwill, and the explosion of the World War Ⅰ, and World War Ⅱ, theexistential philosophers and writers show up, so does the absurdtheatre, which trend of thought in literature and art is named asabsurd. At this time, the Absurd Aesthetic Category finally emerged.Absurd is seemed as a kind of existent experience of westernersin the twentieth century, which is run through the theme ofliterature works. Writers use rational or irrational way to expressreal and surreal, physical and metaphysical absurd thought, racktheir brains devote themselves to the inquiry of truth. Narrative perspective, literary form, exaggerate, metaphor, symbolization,irony and other forms of writing techniques give writers artisticforms to express the subtle feelings within heart, instant inspiration,abstract realization. This form with content, surface and deep layeranomaly, ridiculousness shaped the many implications of absurd,which makes us see the truth in fiction, feel the unreleased intragedy in comedy sentiment, touch the profound meaning in theinsipid, realize the pursue of positive, rational, harmonious innegative, irrational, and unharmonious.The absurd artists always express worry of survive in confusion ina new way, by the foresight of sensitive and sagacity, try to wake uppeople from ignorant, to inspire their purse of the meaning of lifeand spiritual home. In addition to this, absurd also has extensive erainfluence. In its complicated forms enriches the aesthetics, andnurtures the rational thinking in pursuit of truth. And it also offersformal reference for the80’s Chinese novel creation. Even thoughthe influence of absurd is fade away in modern society, its attentionto existent is still has important enlighten meaning. As long as thehuman society is not perfect, the absurd has its value of existenceand meaning.
