Abstract


“V dao+XP” is the research object of this paper, classify it from themeaning of the construction, and analysis its various components,explore the constraints relationship between its components, and usecognitive grammar to explain the virtual mechanism and dynamics of“dao”. The thesis divides into six chapters.Chapter1is the preface part. We introduce the current studyingsituation of the predecessors, explain the purpose and significance ofthe selected topic, also the theories and methods that use in the thesis,and introduce the source of language materials.Chapter2analyses the construction “V dao+XP” of trend and shiftmeaning, including the analysis of semantics and argument structure of“V”, the analysis of attribute of “dao”, the analysis of syntactic andsemantics of “XP” and the constraints relationship between the three.Chapter3analyses the construction “V dao+XP” of behaviormeaning, including the analysis of semantics and argument structure of“V”, the analysis of attribute of “dao”, the analysis of syntactic andsemantics of “XP” and the constraints relationship between the three.Chapter4analyses the construction “V dao+XP” of psychologicalperception meaning, including the analysis of semantics and argumentstructure of “V”, the analysis of attribute of “dao”, the analysis ofsyntactic and semantics of “XP” and the constraints relationshipbetween the three.Chapter5detailed analysis the virtual traces and word of “V dao”,and use cognitive grammar to explain the virtual mechanism anddynamics of “dao”.Chapter6is the conclusion part. It summarizes the thesis, and pointsout the expecting directions of in-depth studying in the future.
