Expression of ADAM19 and P53 in Endometrial Carcinoma

Abstract


Objective To investigate the expression of ADAM19 and P53 in endom-etrial carcinoma tissue and to explore its correlation with clinical behavior and pathological characters, as to investigate the relationship between both ADAM 19 and P53 and the development, metastasis of endometrial cancer.Methods A total of 36 specimens of endometrial carcinoma were evalu-ated by immunohistochemical technique to detect ADAM19 and P53.Fifteen normal endometrium and sixteen atypical hyperplasia endometrium were used for control.Results 1 The ratio of ADAM19 expression deletion in Endometrial carcinoma is obviously higher than the ratio of normal endometrium. The ratio of ADAM19 highly expression deletion in normal endometrium, atypical hyperplasia endometrium, endometrial carcinoma was 26.7%,75% and 63.9% respectively. Through statistical analysis, it was found that the ratio of ADAM 19 expression deletion had significant statistical difference among the three group (P<0.05).The ratio of ADAM19 expression deletion in well-differentiated or Postmenopausal women’s endometrial carcinoma is greater than that in poorly differentiated or during childbearing age endometrial carcinoma. But the clinical stage, muscular layer infiltration, Lymph node metastasis, delivery times, Hypertension, Diabetes and family history of cancer have no obvious correlation with ADAM19 protein expression (P>0.05).2 The highly expression rate of P53 in normal endometrium and atypical hyperplasia endometrium and endometrial carcinoma was 0,12.5%,47.2% respectively. The rate of endometrial carcinoma was obviously higher. There was significant difference among normal endometrium and atypical hyperplasia endometrium and endometrial carcinoma (p<0.05).In endometrial carcinoma, no relations was found between P53 and age, menelipsis, delivery times, Hyperte-nsion, Diabetes, family history of cancer, mymetria invasion and lymph node metastasis (P>0.05).The highly expression rate of P53 was significant differen-ce between tumor grade, and surgical stage (P<0.05).3 The expression of ADAM19 protein were negatively correlated with P53 protein.Conclusions 1 The expression of ADAM 19 in well differentiated endometrial carcinoma is obviously higher than in poorly differentiated endometrial carcinoma. ADAM 19 may be an early event in the development of endometrial carcinoma.2 The overexpression of P53 protein may indicate a high degree of malignancy and poor prognosis of endometrial carcinoma.3 Binded detections of ADAM19 and P53 protein had positive effect on predict prognosis of endometrial carcinoma.
