Abstract
The 21st century is an information age, it is the key for a sustainable city toestablish and maintain its feature. Jin Dynasty Culture played an important roleduring the developing of Ah Cheng, it also has its place in the China’s 5000-yearglorious history of civilization, it is the greatest brand for the world to recognizeAh Cheng and for the Chinese to understand Ah Cheng. From the historical pointof view, the research of Jin Dynasty Culture is the inheritance and creation of theAh Cheng regional culture, but it also can bring contributions to the developmentof native culture, economyand urban regeneration etc. inAh Cheng.This thesis begins with the analysis of the historical background andnowadays of the Ah Cheng architecture. It first analyzes the Ah Chengdeveloping generals with the Jin Dynasty Culture, the main problem of the street,and then shows the street as the holding of the Jin Yuan culture, the regenerationgoal and the limited factors. In the next part, three theories is proposed, theinheritance concept concerned about the Jin Dynasty Culture, the symbiosisconcept concerned about the Ah Cheng region and the integration conceptconcerned about the street environment. In the last chapter, the method researchof Ah Cheng building regeneration, it provides three methods which isreproduction, compromise and the pursuit of hidden features to inherit and gobeyond the Jin Dynasty Culture, chooses Jie Fang Street, Shang Jing Street andrelative practical project as a study object, and uses the three methodsspecifically. This thesis chooses the Ah Cheng architecture as the resourcefulobject for anglicizing phenomenon, cognitive regulation to seek methods and thewayfor the science invention ofAh Cheng architectural regeneration design.This thesis gets three conclusions: the regeneration methods concernedabout the Jin Dynasty Culture, proposing the setup of the symbiosis system andintegrate the relationship betweenAh Cheng context and the Jin Dynasty culture.
