Abstract


Different kind of painting possesses its own drawing language, which is acting as the main brand to be distinguished from other painting style, including profiling, line s, color, composition, etc. The traditional Chinese Meticulous figure painting has a ve ry long and brilliant history. Its unique form of beauty can never be separated from tra ditional Chinese culture. Influenced by Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism and orthodo x ideology, there are two elementary characteristics of the Chinese Meticulous figure painting: the line shapes and freehand spirit. The line is the highly summarized and re fined formation of objects. With obvious national characteristic, it’s the uncontroversi al foundation of Chinese art. While freehand spirit implies two meanings:one is the p ainter in the painting process of emotional injection, the other layer of meaning is pain ting metaphor, implicitly reverie, and deep thought providing for who appreciates.The establishment of new artistic beauty form and aesthetics has close ties with the po litics, economy and scientific and technological progress at its background of times. D ifferent historical periods with different economic base, political systems and different living environment, thus, people form different knowledge, different ideas and differe nt aesthetic emotion. There are very big differences between modern people’s living e nvironment, knowledge structure, aesthetic ideology and ancient people. Therefore, E xploration of contemporary figure painting boasts a certain practical significance for t he development of modern Chinese Meticulous figure painting
