Meta Analysis of TCM Therapy for Chronic Glomerulonephritis Clinical Therapeutic

Abstract


Objective: Meta-analysis of clinical trials for the treatment of chronic glomerulonephritis (CGN) by combination of traditional Chinese medicine or Chinese and Western medicine, medicine and therapy in the treatment of CGN efficacy evaluation, drawn relatively reliable CGN efficacy of Chinese medicine treatment of evidence-based medical evidence. Method: using computer and manual searches, collect all met the inclusion criteria of clinical randomized controlled trial (RCT) and controlled clinical trials (CCT) literature, evaluate the quality of each study, the data information extraction using the Cochrane Collaboration Revman4. 2 software for comprehensive analysis process concluded. Results: A total of 19 trials, 1898 patients were divided into a treatment group and the control group, the treatment group using pure Chinese medicine treatment or the joint Western medicine treatment measures, the control group treated with Western medicine alone. Physical and chemical indicators of which 4 (24-hour urinary protein excretion, urine red blood cells, blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine) were observed. Meta-analysis results showed that: ① Chinese medicine Integrative Medicine CGN clinical efficacy superior to Western medicine treatment; ② Chinese medicine Integrative therapy more effective than Western medicine treatment of 24-hour urinary protein excretion; (3) Chinese medicine or Chinese and Western medicine combined treatment of urinary erythrocyte effective than Western medicine treatment; ④ Chinese medicine Integrative Medicine and Western medicine treatment no significant difference to the efficacy of the blood urea nitrogen, can not be considered Integrative Medicine of Chinese medicine in the treatment better than Western medicine treatment efficacy of blood urea nitrogen; ⑤ TCM Integrative Medicine and Western medicine treatment no significant difference in the efficacy of serum creatinine, can not be considered more effective than Western medicine treatment of Chinese medicine in the treatment of Integrative Medicine; the ⑥ Chinese medicine or combined with ACEI therapy more effective than 24-hour urinary protein excretion with ACEI better than Western medicine treatment efficacy of 24-hour urinary protein excretion; the ⑦ Yishen clear Eliphaz; ⑧ (such as blood circulation, heat and dampness, Yiqiyangyin, etc.) in the treatment method of the efficacy of the 24-hour urinary protein excretion excellent Western medicine treatment; ⑨ this study included in the trial there may be a certain publication bias; ⑩ either pure traditional Chinese medicine or Chinese and Western medicine combined treatment, and its security is relatively high, the incidence of adverse reactions less. Conclusion: Chinese medicine Integrative Medicine clinical efficacy of treatment of CGN better than western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine or joint ACEI treatment of proteinuria better than the single use of ACEI treatment effect of kidney clearing method and other therapies on proteinuria excellent Western medicine treatment alone, suggesting that Chinese medicine compared to Western medicine treatment alone have a better control of proteinuria and hematuria. However, due to the limited number of tests included in this study and there are defects on the methodology, resulting in Meta-analysis of the results of the strength of evidence is not the future, the need for high-quality multi-center, randomized, blinded, controlled trial further confirmed.
