Abstract


Objective:To provide more sufficient proofs on content validity for the multi-achievement tests of Grade5and Grade6and improve expert evaluation methods, as well as provide better study methodology on content validity which facilitates to draft quality evaluation criteria for various tests.Method:this paper exemplifies with the multi-achievement tests for Grade3to Grade6to test Chinese and math with two equal testing item samples A and B. Each testing item sample consists of9separate sections, in which Pinyin (Chinese pronunciation), Chinese characters, expressions, sentences (Abes of literature), essays(grammar), number concept, number calculation, number application and geometry are included. The work included for expert evaluation methods before evaluation are to confine the test scope and syllabus proportions, to determine the test content for each testing item and compare them with the two-way item sheet designed by the test designer, to draft rating scale,.Main jobs will determine25experts in Chinese and math,focus on inviting expert to evaluate, which consists of evaluating by Five-Point rating scale done by experts and analyzing the results. The experts will also evaluate the tests by Three-Point rating scale, calculate CRV value, make related statistics on these two evaluation results, check the consistency of evaluators, verify the content validity of the tests, and eventually modify the test testing items based on the final rating. Result:1.Among the Five-Point rating done by experts. The rating for Sample A items ranges3.39～4.9, those in Sample B ranges3.48～4.71. while those in Sample B between3.98～4.21.88(92%) items in Sample A and83(86%) items in Sample B all match the predetermined content validity. all factors in Sample A vary between4.11～4.44, the average rating in testing item Sample A is4.25, and4.14in testing item Sample B2.Among the Three-Point rating done by experts, The CRV values of85items (89%) in Sample A and B are above0.37. For the items with CRV values of less than0.37, moderate modifications are made after consultation with the experts.3.The related statistics obtained from the Five-Point rating and Three-Point rating done by experts shows the related coefficients of A5A3and B5B3in Chinese and math range0.69～0.83, obviously indicating a close correlation.4.Kendall coefficient of concordance statistics, the results show that the expert assessment was significantly related to the above.Conclusion:1.Grades5-6meet the basic requirements for surveying multiple content validity of the achievement test;2.Three-point scale of the expert evaluation method can better screening inappropriate entry;3. Experts given three points assessed five reviews relevant statistical analysis, comprehensive assessment showed extremely significant.
