Abstract


This study combined the notion of trait and mood loneliness and brand-new internet interact function, reviewing the history of loneliness studies including connotation and research tools carefully, and explained the theory background and research method behind this experiment. In this foundation, the change of mood loneliness when high and low trait loneliness person using QQ or renren.net had been discussed. Also the relative characters of instant messenger and social network site and the impact made by different people’s different preference on mood loneliness had been analyzed. The conclusion of this study are as follows:(1)There is significantly differences between high and low trait loneliness person’s mood loneliness both pre and post tested;(2)After short relative internet interaction, mood loneliness of QQ group and renren.net group persons both declined, and the margin of renren.net group is significantly bigger than QQ group;(3)The score of trait loneliness of renren.net group is higher than counterparts of QQ group both high and low trait loneliness, and there is no significantly differences between them;(4)In renren.net group, high trait loneliness persons prefer to interacting on internet with both familiar guys and strangers while low trait loneliness persons prefer to interacting on internet with just familiar guys, and there is no such a preference in QQ group.
