Abstract


As we all know, teacher is the foundation and principal is the key for running a kindergarten. In a certain sense, the principal decides the characteristics of the kindergarten, also the teacher and children. This means the growth and development of the principal plays a vital role on kindergarten, more specifically, the principal could determine the fate of the kindergarten he owns.As a case study, the author selects a successful principal as the research object. The author offers a deep description on different professional development stage of the case from the real and microscopic level, through interview, and literature analysis to collect information. This study shows the complete professional development process and the actual professional life of the principal, and discusses how the principal obtained his own development through the interaction with the environment. On this basis, the author reflects on the professional development process of the case, in order to provide some experience for the growth and development of other teachers in kindergarten.This study is divided into four parts:The first part is the preface, which mainly introduces the motivation, theoretical and practical significance, literature review, the definition, research methods and process of this study.The second part is the professional development story of the case, which is the core part of this research. The author has presented and described a detailed experience on the development process of the case with the narrative discussion method, from the stage as a teacher, a vice principal and principal.The third part is the reflection based on case. The author reflects the professional development of the case from five aspects, and proposes detailed tips and measurements to facilitate the professional development for kindergarten principal and teachers, based on the reflection to the professional development process of the case.The fourth part is the conclusion of this study. The author carries a reflection on this study, from the following aspects:the identity of the research object, the research validity and promotion degree, the research ethics and morality, research limits and shortages etc.This is a case study, and its essence is to display the characteristics of the case. Despite of some shortcomings in this research, the author hopes this research could attract more social people who is interested in kindergarten teacher or principal to expand deeper and more scientific research.
