Along with social progress and development, cultural construction, especially the school sports culture has received more and more attention. In school physical culture construction in secondary vocational schools, the construction of sports culture with its own characteristics are different from each other, and also different from those in normal schools and universities. The task of Secondary vocational school education is to cultivate qualified students for societies and some of students can be nurtured for colleges or universities at the same time. So it makes the sports culture construction at secondary vocational schools more characteristic. Meishan has dozens of secondary vocational schools, large or small. With the construction of a harmonious society, it gives more difficult tasks to vocational schools.As one part of school cultural construction, sports culture plays a very important role and has shown its significance in vocational schools based on its social value and the cultivation of students’lifelong physical education as well as the idea of all-round development target. Secondary vocational schools in Meishan, which are influenced by the traditional idea of "course education first, physical education second" and also confined to financial difficulties, school sports culture construction has not received enough attention. It hasn’t played its due role to the harmonious development of the whole society. It’s very important to promote the development of a school by strengthening the construction of sports culture. This research makes a research to the the cultural construction of secondary vocational schools in Meishan by means of questionnaires and interviews and comes to the conclusions as follows:1、In vocational schools in Meishan city,91%students has little knowledge on sports cultural. They know nothing about it except that it can strengthen our body and contribute to entertainment. And only4%of the PE teachers focus on sports and cultural knowledge teaching about sports culture, but the content is relatively simple, mainly introduction. There is no detailed plan in sports culture construction in secondary vocational schools. Nor is the performance.2、100%schools have sports teaching facilities lower than the national standard in Meishan. The sports equipment standard rate is only64.1%; the proportion of sports teachers tend to be more reasonable but young on the whole.60%of teachers is below30years old; PE teachers with undergraduate education accounted for46%; PE teachers with junior accounted for74%, with the title of senior2%only.3、Meishan city school sports funds throws serious inadequacy, in the sports teaching, activities with respect to an average of only6300, equipment (including consumables) invested in each school are2100, Meishan city secondary school sports investment little, has a serious impact on the school sports teaching living and training game, more serious influence school the construction of the sports culture.4、Meishan city sports activities mode is single. Sports management mode has not formed the institutionalization, standardization. The sports cultural construction can be through the establishment of a standardized pattern of activity, rich sports culture activities to improve and enhance.
