Abstract


The teacher’s appointment system in university is one of the most importanttopic in higher education in recent years, some scholars discussed the generation andthe development of the system in our country from the angle of history, someanalyzed the advantages and divantages of the system from the perspective ofinternational comparison, others just select a link in the process to state in detail, alsothere are some schloars discussed the rationality of the system from the point ofinstitutionalism. but it was few that studied it from the perspective of value orientaiton,what’s more the importance of the “academic freedom” to the teachers’ appointmenthas been ignored. This paper established not only on the charactesics of theorganization of university, discussed the teachers’ appointment system from the angleof academic freedom, dessected the reality problems in current university teachers’appointment system, but also on the important value orientation of academic freedom,proposed some practical suggestions and countermeasures to our country’s universityteachers’ appointment system.This paper started from the related concept of the teacher’s appointment of thecollege and academic freedom, expounded their connotation, characteristics and theirhistory. And then established on the whole operating process of teachers’ appointment,discussed the significance of academic freedom to it, and demonstrated that theacademic freedom is a important value orientation of the teachers’ appointmentsystem. Secondly, analyzed the serious problems were due to the violation and theinterference of the academic freedom as well as the loss of academic freedom value incurrent teachers’ appointment system in university from the angle of reality. Finally,this paper put forward to carry out and safeguard the academic freedom from thesystem mainstay, the system process and the system guarantee, in order to promotethe refom and the development of the system in our country.
