Abstract


30 years of reform and opening up, as China’s social, economic and earth-shaking changes in the internal structure of this group of migrant workers has occurred in the amount of change and qualitative change is being carried out, there has been a large number of young migrant workers that the new generation of Migrant workers studied in this thesis. Migrant workers is accompanied by China’s industrialization, urbanization and modernization in this era. In the new century, with the upgrading of the age structure of migrant workers, the new generation of migrant workers has become the main force of China’s labor force. More and more attention is paid on their situation and problems. Author is meant to study the new generation of migrant workers with data reference of questionnaire of the new generation of migrant workers in two enterprises in Chengdu, the analysis released by the National Bureau of Statistics and the research report of the ACFTU. Literature review method, Observation, description of methods and survey methods and other research methods are used to analysis the basic situation and main problems faced by the current generation of migrant workers and causes of the phenomenon of migrant workers. Finqlly the author sucessed to draw conclusions and give policy recommendations, striving to help people understand more fully the status of the new generation of migrant workers, for future scholars to provide some data to support.This paper consists of five chapters:the first one is Introduction which mainly concentrates on the background, method and the significance of the research. The second one is the current situation of the New generation of Migrant workers. The third one talks about the cause of the problems about the New generation of Migrant workers and the fourth chapter is conclusion. The author believes that the greastest feature of the New generation of Migrant workers is they are lack of farming experience. Those problems are very complicated and some of those problems are interrelated and also mutually affected. At the same time, the author also believes that the most biggest problem is ecomomy. Influenced by the enviroment, their attitude towards life and value has been changed so much so that they are very different from those traditional Migrant workers not only just on working carrer, way of life but also on the farming field. The last chapter is Suggestion.At beginning, the author gets a general idea about the current situation of the New generation of Migrant workers by taking surveys; then the author begins to do data analysis. In the later, the whole essay turns to the details of the problems and the cause of the problems which had been existed among the New generation of Migrant workers. In the end, it comes to the conclusion and also some suggestions which should be of constructive effects.
