Abstract


Demand for data exchange between different data acquisition equipments or control equipments has been increasingly strong.Different devices use different protocols.A single communication protocol is difficult to complete the data exchange under the current protocol application circumstances, communication protocol conversion system is the current popular solution. The current communication protocol conversion system featuring centralized protocol conversion.high integration.high requirement to hardware. The current communication protocol conversion system can not satisfy the incresing protocol conversion needs well for production.This paper presents and implements a new distributed deployment and protocol conversion.SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) based Communication protocol conversion system. With a modular design modle. the new communication protocol conversion system divided into the system executable framework.of the implementation of the system.the configuration tooland the protocol executable program.Different protocol executable programs can be selected to build the communication protocol conversion system.In this way.the problems bring with the current communication protocol conversion system can be effectively solved.The techniques involved in system development described in detail.The embedded devices with ARM+Linux architecture featuring mature technologies.high stability,more communiction interfaces.low cost and easy to deploy,so. ARM+Linux architecture embeded devices selected as the hardware and software platform in this paper.This paper selects two protocols popular in the field of control and communication.Modbus/Tcp and IEC60870-5-103. to have a protocol conversion. They all have inviting prospect of market.With variable difference in manner of operation.they represent two different type protocols.So.it’s worth developing protocol conversion for these two protocols. This paper implements the two protocol executable programs with10data frames of Modbus/Tcp ofen used function code and23ASDU data frames including most functions respectively. Finally.this paper presents a demonstration and analysis to the result of communication protocol conversion system and a test to utilization ratio of system resource.stability-reliability of protocol conversion and expansibility. From the test results.the communication protocol conversion system satisfy the industry production protocol conversion needs well and solve the proformance problem well when more and more protocol conversion needed. Protocol conversion between Modbus/Tcp and IEC60870-5-103had been used for the Water Supply Project of Guizhou Qingzhen Hongfenahu.
