Abstract


As the development of mobile network technology, stream media technology becomes one ofmost important app of mobile network. According to statistics, stream media flow takes up to halfof all mobile network flow, and there is an increase trend every year. Stream media needs largebandwidth, and consumers can’t tolerate long delay, but mobile network has many defects, such aslittle bandwidth and noise, there are all limit development of mobile stream media.Intelligent stream media controller is a device to solve stream media problem in mobile network.By using its proxy function, mobile network flow will be reduced and user delay can be decreased.This thesis analyses mobile network, stream media file format, transport protocols, streammedia access characteristics and proxy algorithms theories. By researching intelligent stream mediacontroller, this thesis designs new method of media cut and store and improves proxy algorithms.The contribution of this thesis is as follow:●Study and analyze multiple technologies of mobile stream media. Such as steam object fileformat, stream media transport control protocols, stream media access characteristics andproxy algorithms.●By comparing of multiple proxy algorithms which studied recently, this thesis raises a newproxy algorithm named mix prefix and segment proxy algorithm.●Design a new simulator named mini-simulator to simulate the proxy algorithm which thisthesis raises up. By the output of simulator, it shows the proxy algorithm this paper raisesup works well, it can solve delay problem and reduce network flow in backbone network.
