Abstract

IRT, Items Response Theory, is one kind of psychometric.Simply, when the candidate are having a exam, the next question that the candidate would getbased on the results that the candidate did, the exam system suggests which question will begave based on the level of the candidate. It is different from traditional psychometric that IRTincluded in participation of the candidate.CAT Computerized Adaptive Testing, a kind of computer program examinations.First of all, the computer system arranges a number of questions for a test. After the test,according the results of the candidates, the computer system would give a selection whichincludes the questions. Those questions are one the current level which be close the test thesubject of the candidates, slightly higher or slightly lower. The computer system wouldre-estimate the level of the candidates based on the right or wrong answer the candidate gave.When candidates do after the title subject to a certain magnitude, the computer system wouldestimates the level of accuracy of the candidates, this level will increasingly consistent withthe actual level of the candidates.The evaluation based on IRT&CAT has been around for years, but less practical application ofthe domestic. The problem of IRT&CAT be related to the calculation of volume has beenresolved in advanced computer technology today. The more application of intelligent anddynamic analysis should be developed on a wide range test and evaluation today. Theexamination system based on the ability of candidates to make the adaptation response notonly can get real close to the level of the candidates, buts also can achieve better skillstraining of the role of candidates for the test evaluation if the software technology can beapplied by the IRT&CAT dynamic theory of intelligent control.This application mainly is in the current number of questions in computer softwaretechnology training, the smart dynamically generated questions which based on thecandidates’ s answer, to test the candidates knowledge of the true point of mastery.Details are as follows:The application analyses the current answer of the candidates and get a result of dynamicanalysis to determine which questions would be gave. When the candidates’ answers andknowledge points deviation in a certain range, the application determine the more realistic level of this candidates.The application of intelligent analysis need for knowledge include test model, J2EE,java,web,hibernate, struts, spring, oracle and so on.There are also some discussions in this paper, include system availability, system operationbased on conditions, system performance and other factors.We would study objects include a variety of applications of computer technology to the test, avariety of exam training, as well as personality evaluation, evaluation and many otheremotional content.In this paper, I have a example with the security practitioner which is one of six majorcategories exams.I use IRT&CAT as a theoretical guide to achieve a practical availableintelligent system. I wish it can improve academic performance of candidates.
