Abstract


With the continuous rising of the civil service examination (CSE), there are moreand more coaching agencies. How to improve and expand their market share and attractmore examinees is among the key problems that these agencies are thinking over. Withthe rapid development of information technology, network and other new technologiesare being adopted in coaching industry to further improve the customer experience andquality of service.Under such background, a new online civil service examination coaching systembased on J2EE is discussed, designed and implemented in this paper. Firstly, it reviewsthe background and history of the online coaching techniques, been and being appliedat home and abroad. And then it illustrates the commercial value and practicalsignificance of building online civil service examination coaching system based onJ2EE. Furthermore, it gives a deep analysis of J2EE, a comparison of the superiority ofJ2EE and.NET, and a discussion of MVC design pattern and web database technology,and based on which it finally reveals the details of design and implementation of theonline civil service examination coaching system.The main content in this paper is as follows:1. Based on the analysis of requirements and functions of the system, a new type ofcoaching mode combined network with constructivism is proposed, which takesstudents as the coaching center and teacher as the organizer, director, guider andpromoter in the whole coaching process. Under such mode, the student is the main bodyof information processing and the active builder of knowledge, which solves thelimitation of time and space and individual differences.2. After elaborating of the main design ideas and principles, the system adopts theimproved three layer B/S architecture design under J2EE mode as framework under theconsideration of scalability and adaptability. With applying the MVC pattern of theModel2and component technology of J2EE platform, it remarkably reduces theoperation and maintenance cost. In addition, it expounds the detail scheme design for the online civil service examination coaching system based on J2EE in the aspects ofdatabase and test designs.3. On the basis of the methodologies and related key technologies discussed above,it introduces the implementation of the online civil service examination coachingsystem based on J2EE, from the system development environment, the implementationof Web layer, business layer to the database design/implementation. And it elaboratesthe implementation of several key sub-systems.4. Since this system is based on J2EE, and comparing with traditional softwaresystem, it features distributed, heterogeneous, concurrent and platform independentsoftware, the system test methods are also discussed in this paper in order to avoid theoperation of this system by running environment restriction. Finally, a summary to thefull paper is described and the potential issues and problems in the current system arepointed out and the improving directions are proposed.
