With the development of Information technology, the automation level of timber production management was more and more emphasized by forestry enterprises. In recent years, extensive management and hand manipulation were implemented in the working process of most timber production enterprises with shortcomings such as complex and repetitive work, large number of statistics on cost and economic accounting etc. All these problems are fallible and unmanageable. Therefore, it is helpful to alleviate workload and provide statistical data exactly by designing timber-production management software. The design of timber production management system is meaningful for realizing wood production management modernization.We documented the analysis and design of different function modules in timber production management system. Timber information of wood production enterprises was collected, classified and saved into database to complement the united, concentrated and normalized management. On the other hand, statistics and reports on multiple data were provided to enhance the management efficiency on forestry enterprise.The management system of our study contained production quota, sales management, personnel management, partner information management, statistical report etc. We conducted analysis and design by object-oriented PB language to reduce developing risks and promote efficiency. C/S structure for system implementation and SQL Server for database were used in our study. Access privileges were set for the management on timber, and common user could input, inquire and revise the information, and manager could make statistics and generate reports.
