Based on conventional vehicle management experience and advanced modern management methods, vehicle information management makes full use of modern information technology to make itself organized, systematic, digitalized, networked, and intelligent, so as to achieve informatization.In order to realize informatization and enhance intelligence and capacity of vehicle management, this paper, based on existing demand of vehicle management, establishes a set of vehicle information management system with advanced computer technology and information management technology, which can improve efficiency, regulate expenditure and avoid dissipation so that previous problems in vehicle management can be solved and the whole process of vehicle utilization can be kept in control, including application, scheduling and maintenance.This paper discusses measures and problems of conventional vehicle management, and also represents technology, methods and structure of information management as well as information technology used in this management system. Standing practically, it, taking leading management system of Chengdu Sibida for example, introduces five main functions of vehicle management, which are scheduling, pre-warning, cost-controlling, archiving and recording.After carrying out a specific survey of the current vehicle management, this paper on the basis of the impact of informatization upon conventional management makes out a process of vehicle management. Applying Chengdu Sibida vehicle management system in the framework of C/S in real situations, the paper analyzes in detail its service condition and comes to a conclusion that the system can help improve vehicle management efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs.This paper not only helps to make vehicle management organized, systemized, and digitalized, but also can reach informatization of vehicle management. Based on the improvement of scientificity and management, vehicle management can be of high-efficiency and low-cost, and progress of vehicles reform can be sped up and guaranteed. Therefore this paper is very much of practical significance.
