Abstract


Chinese textbook always adapts to the times, it embodies not only the political and economic characteristics but also the educational direction in our society at that time; it is the demonstrative window of our educational status, it is also the carrier of our educational theories and ideas. During the period of the Republic of China (1912-1949), with new political and educational background, the schoolwork system of Chinese textbook in middle school has been devious experienced gestation period, exploration period and maturation period, and all these development laid a good foundation of our modern operating schoolwork system.This dissertation researches and comments on the schoolwork system of Chinese textbook in middle school, focuses on the definition, function, the development process and characteristics and courses, theory discussion and expectation, whole text is divided into six parts. Introduction:Overview the reason of chose this topic, research content and the major research methods. The first chapter discusses the meaning and importance of schoolwork system of Chinese textbook in middle school. The second chapter comments on the related background and influencing factor of Chinese textbook schoolwork system in middle school in gestation period of the early Republic of China (1912-1921). In that period, with the thorough educational revolution, Chinese established as a formal subject in middle school, Chinese textbook schoolwork system appeared in primary school. Chinese textbook schoolwork system in middle school started come into the gestation period of tortuous development. The third chapter comments on the development of the Chinese textbook schoolwork system in middle school in exploration period—the new educational system period in the Republic of China (1922-1931). After the new educational system, "Guowen" changed into "Guoyu" officially, the new teaching methods rose a tidal wave of reformation. Chinese tests were in the ascendant, Chinese textbook schoolwork system compilation appeared in middle school. The fourth Chapter comments on the maturation period----new curriculum standards period for the Republic of China period (1932-1937) of the the Chinese textbook schoolwork system In middle school. This paper comments on the various reasons which promoted the Chinese textbook schoolwork system, they from different aspects such as "Children’s Center", graduate examination method, and so on. I select the most representative text book "Chinese textbook of junior high school in revival period" as a case study. The last part, I start from the problems existed in the Chinese textbook schoolwork system in middle school nowadays, summarize the experiences of the Chinese textbook schoolwork system in middle school in period of the Republic of China, combine with the theoretical basic when we are designing the Chinese textbook schoolwork system in middle school, suggest some strateges to improve the Chinese textbook schoolwork system in middle school when we are designing it, and also some problems we need to think them over.
