Abstract

The experience of developed countries suggested, the proportion of services is becoming heavier as the developing of economic. The producer services’effect is especially big on the development of economic. The development of producer services has become the sign of evaluating the development level of economic. China’s economic got big development since the Reform and Opening, manufacture did important contribution in China’s economic. But producer services didn’t develop as fast as manufacturing. The backward producer services have restricted the development of manufacturing seriously.Due to the domestic and overseas scholars has not reached unity of understanding of the classification standards of producer services. This paper will divide producer services industry into traditional producer services and emerging producer services. Capital intensive is the main characteristics of traditional producer services, and emerging producer services concurrently have technology-intensive and capital intensive characteristics, tech-intensive is the basic difference to divide traditional producer services and emerging producer services. Combined with the national bureau of statistics for services, the classification of traditional producer services include transportation, warehousing, posts and telecommunications companies, real estate etc; Emerging producer services include information transmission, computer service and software etc. Combining previous research conclusions on the relationship between producer service and manufacturing, and according to developed countries’historical development experience, the paper summarize the different types of producer services inflict different influence on manufacturing in different stages of the development of economic.On the basis of theoretical analysis, this article selected year 1997, year 2002 and year 2007 of China’s input-output data, using the method of input-output empirical analysis of the different influence of China’s producer services inflicted on manufacturing. The analysis results show that China’s producer service industry did low effort on the development manufacturing, manufacturing’s development mainly relies on the direct investment. And producer services’internal development was unbalance, traditional producer services held a dominant position in producer services.Then this article selected Zhejiang province and Henan province, using the method of input-output analysis to compare the different influences that producer services inflicted on manufacturing in different areas. The results show that Zhejiang province’s producer services inflicted more influences on manufacturing than Henan province. But Zhejiang province’s development level of producer services wear still located on low level, and the development of Zhejiang province’s producer services was mainly relied on the number of extensive, and the quality was not enhanced synchronously.
