Abstract


In recent years, with the rapid development of computer technology and information technology networks, great changes have taken place in industrial control technology. The progress of Ethernet technology in the certainty, information priority makes network and intelligent controller become a hot research issue. This topic study and design a low-cost embedded network controller and realizing the communication network. It has great practical significance.Using Samsung’s S3C2440A microcontroller as the core, based on TQ2440 core board of Tianqian Company of Guangzhou and combined with the Linux operating system, a set of embedded network controller was developed in the paper, namely, connect ARM with on-site controller via the serial port connection and use ARM’s network interface as a on-site controller of network interface so as to achieve the remote network communication of ARM controller.The following work has been completed by the author in this article:1. Built ARM development platform by constructing the development environment for building, and then transplant the porting process of u-boot, the kernel and the root file system, which will lay the good foundation for the development of the system.2. Create a system network model, which give a detailed analysis of the network communication process under Linux operating system and windows operating system, then with the combination of TCP/IP network communication protocol, the application of VC++6.0 and Linux C, the programs of the server side and client-side have been prepared and also complete the C/S model of network communication which uses a PC machine as the server and ARM for the server to the client’s.3. Write programs of the serial port with the application of Linux C, which enables the PC machine to receive the date sent by the ARM board via the connected serial port.4. Debug with the command frame format of Panasonic Special MEWTOCOL protocol and realize to display the same command on the PC machine which is connected to the ARM via the serial port as the remote control center of a PC machine.Debugging results show that the system developed in the paper has achieved the remote network communication of the ARM controller.
