Abstract


Since entering the new century, the world urbanization is developing rapidly.Regional economic integration with the world of coastal city becomes thedevelopment trend of rural urbanization. In2011, China’s urbanization rate has beenmore than half, and China has entered a period of accelerated urbanizationdevelopment. Peninsula Blue Economic Zone development strategy has become animportant regional development strategy. As a leader of the Shandong Peninsula BlueEconomic Zone, Qingdao accelerating the development of rural urbanization faces arare opportunity. Study on the current situation and the promoting mechanism of ruralurbanization in Qingdao, was in keeping with the current development opportunitieswhich rural urbanization in Qingdao faced, and of great theoretical and practicalsignificance. There were a lot of research theories on urbanization and ruralurbanization both inside and outside which had a certain significance for this thesis.But there were few studies about the promoting mechanism of rural urbanization andno system theory.By the analysis of the research status of the related fields at home and abroad, theuse of the theory of regional economics, sociology, urban geography and otherdisciplines, and the use of literature research method, static analysis combined withdynamic analysis, comparative analysis, a combination of analysis and synthesismethod, and other research methods, this paper analyze the development status ofrural urbanization in Qingdao more comprehensively, and point out the existingproblems and restricting factors. Then the paper focuses the analysis on the promotingmechanism of rural urbanization in Qingdao. Finally, based on the above analysis, inview of the problems in the process of rural urbanization in Qingdao, the relatedcountermeasures and suggestions are put forward. The data used in the thesis werefrom Qingdao Statistical Yearbook since2000, true and reliable.The analysis on the current situation of rural urbanization in Qingdao showedthat the development of urbanization in Qingdao showed a rising trend in theeconomic, demographic, lifestyle and living environment, medium-sized cities roserapidly, small towns accelerated the pace of urbanization, and the urbanization inQingdao developed constantly. The analysis also showed the level of urbanization inQingdao was higher than Shandong province and the whole country, but less thansimilar cities, and urbanization in Qingdao was lagging behind. The urbanization inQingdao lied in the late stage of accelerated development and it would enter a maturestage and faced new trends and developments. According to the analysis on thecurrent situation of rural urbanization in Qingdao, this paper presents the problemsand constraints in the development process of rural urbanization in Qingdao. Theresearch on the promoting mechanism of rural urbanization had not form a systematic theory, so this paper attempted to analyze the promoting mechanism of ruralurbanization in Qingdao from the following five angles: non-agricultural andnon-agricultural industries, urbanization and construction of small towns, agriculturalindustrialization and modernization, infrastructure and policies to promote. Studiesshowed that non-agricultural and non-agricultural industries was one of the maindriving force of rural urbanization in Qingdao, urbanization and construction of smalltowns had a certain role to promote the development of rural urbanization in Qingdao,agricultural industrialization and modernization had a stronger role in promoting,infrastructure did not play a significant role in promoting, and the promoting policieshad a certain guiding role. Finally, according the analysis on the current situation andthe promoting mechanism of rural urbanization in Qingdao, relevant countermeasureswere proposed for the problems and constraints in the development process of ruralurbanization in Qingdao.It wasn’t that several simply propulsion could play a lasting and nice results onpromoting the development of rural urbanization in Qingdao, so it was necessary toresearch and analysis the promoting mechanism of rural urbanization in Qingdao.Promoting mechanism was multifaceted integrated with systematic role in thepromotion. It was difficult to fully grasp the research on promoting mechanism. Andthe research on the promoting mechanism of rural urbanization had not form a systemtheory. So the tentative analysis and research that this paper did on the promotingmechanism of rural urbanization in Qingdao was not comprehensive, and it alsorequired further research shows.
