Abstract

At present,internation trade is more and more important to the national economy of countrys because of the enhance of Economic Globalization.AS the most important commodity for trade in the whole word, mechanical and electrical products is also very important to the international trade and national economy of many countrys. Accordding to <Global trade report for2010>, the total trade amount of mechanical and electrical products had reached a figure of12.84billion dollar,which accounted for41.93%of the total global trade in goods,and also going to be the major commodities in global trade.so,in this case,how to enhance the export competitiveness of mechanical and electronic products are more and more important to many countrys. In recent years,the mechanical and electrical industry of china has a rapidly development.In the year of2010, the export of mechanical and electrical products of china ranked first in the word.But,comparing to the developed countrys such as USA and Japan,there are stil many things to do for the further development of chinese mechanical and electrica industry.mechanical and electrical products are both the majior commodities for china and newly industrialized countries of ASEAN. As the offically launched of CAFTA, the bussiness contaction of the two sides is getting more and more close.Besides, There are many similarities in the mechanical and electrical industry of both sides,such as development process、factors of production and industrial structure. So,it’s make a sense to compare the international competitiveness of mechanical and electronic products between China and ASEAN countrys.After an analysis of the differfence of the mechanical and electronic products competitveness between China and ASEAN countrys based on the datas from1996to2010,the writer comes to many conclusions:first,comparing to ASEAN countrys, chinese competitveness of mechanical and electronic products is catching up and kept a sustained growth; second, there are also many things to do to improve the competitveness of high technology product such as Microelectronic devices and Semiconductor products;third,in order to improve the mechanical and electronic products competitveness of China,the government should adjust the input of research and development and give a reasonable guide to the FDI; the enterprise of Chinese mechanical and electrical should develop a marketing strategy for product and searching new demand growth source.
