Abstract


Due to good performance, light and thin, energy saving andenvironment protection, TFT-LCD products are widely used in TV, PC,mobile phones and other information terminals. It is a revolutionaryproduct in display industry following the CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) andbecomes the main product of the new-style Flat Panel Display. With thedevelopment of digital technology, network technology, mobiletechnology, new demands are well up.As the demands are increasing, the competitions in TFT-LCDindustry are pricking up. The competition advantages of single enterpriseare not obvious any longer. As a result, TFT-LCD industry tycoons homeand abroad have to integrate the TFT-LCD industry chain and ally witheach other strategically to strengthen the core competition ability.TFT-LCD enterprises in China are poor in technology, human resourcesand operation management due to its late development. But they have tocontinue their investigations because of Chinese national industryplanning. As one of the biggest TFT-LCD enterprises in China, S groupsees more difficulties on their way. She has to obtain the core competitionabilities with technology innovation and management innovation. This paper, focused on the integration of TFT-LCD industry chain,studies the necessities of integrating TFT-LCD industry. By drawing thelesson of the experience of Chinese and international display industries,this paper puts forward the TFT-LCD industry integration solutions. Italso studies the feasibilities to put the integration solutions into practice.It also provides such proposals as operation and control, informationmanagement, R&D and industry policies.With the integration, informatization and marketization of the worldeconomy, enterprises have to find new competition advantages to keepthemselves ahead. This paper, by studying the TFT-LCD industryintegration tactics of S group, helps to make a practical strategy for theTFT-LCD industry’s development. It’s also a good reference for otherindustries in the newly world economy body.
