Abstract


As is known, rice is the main food crop in our country and the prevention and treatment of the rice diseases and insect pests have a significant impact on our national security and people’s livelihood. As a consequence, it is very realistic and urgent to develop a highly-effective information system of the rice diseases and insect pests, which will friendly support an easy guidance and communication between agricultural technicians and farmers and will construct a data-concentration platform of the prevention and treatment of the rice diseases and insect pests. What’s more, it will be very significant to raise both the rice harvest and the farmers’ real income.With the communication technology constantly updating, especially the mobile network technology, with the communication bandwidth substantially increasing and with the intelligent communication terminal gradually spreading, the hardware foundation is properly prepared for the research on the information system of the rice diseases and insect pests. From the above, this paper puts forward the construction of the Android-based expert system platform of the rice diseases and insect pests.In this paper, it first discusses why Android system is chosen and what the expert system is. And then with a combination of the characteristics of the areas of the rice diseases and insect pests, it designs the Android-based expert system of rice diseases and insect pests. This sysem is established by the mixed reasoning mechanism on the basic database of the rice diseases and insect pests and the rice-dianosis regulation base which are constructed by the SQLite data model. The system which adopts the Eclipse software, combines with software engineering and relational database and expert system and realizes the design of the diagnosis module for the rice diseases and insect pests, the daily Note, the inquiry of agricultural materials, data synchronization function. By the combination of the professional expert system and the opening Android technology, a further exploration is made in the professional area of agricultual information.
