Abstract


In recent years, as the country pay more attention to people’s livelihood, social insurance industry grow rapidly, at the same time, coverage of social insurance expand gradually. In order to know about the development of social insurance, we must establish a scientific system of social insurance indicators to fully and objectively reflect the situation of social insurance. Indicator system can not only meet the need of government assessment and policy decision-making, but also to be able to meet the need of understanding the situation for people and the need of scholars’ study. Current research on the social insurance system is still relatively small, how to use quantitative indicators to measure the degree of development of social insurance to meet the academic, governmental, national and international comparison needs a focus of the study. Therefore, building a scientific index system is particularly important.In this study, we determine the definition of social insurance and principles and methods of setting up social insurance statistics indicator system in the first. Secondly by analyzing the historical path of social insurance in our country, we understand developmental history and reality of system of statistic indicator of social indicator. Through comparing with other countries, we absorb useful experience. Then through the comparative analysis, we analyze deficiencies of indicator system, and attempt to propose the reason why it is insufficient. Again according to the specific circumstances of social insurance indicators, we use factor analysis and subjective evaluation method respectively determine social insurance indicator and build a new index system. Finally we give explanation to the new indicator system, and put forward some suggestions and opinions to make the better of the indicator system.
