Abstract


Since the1950s, along with the population increasing and the high speed development of economy, the groundwater exploitation has entered the overdraft stage. Because the unreasonable exploitation of groundwater produces a series of problems, such as water environment, ecological environment and geological environment problems, related to human being. These problems have been attracted a lot of attention around the world. From1980s, because of the unreasonable exploitation of groundwater, the groundwater environment problems impact sustainable development in our country. So the restoration of the groundwater environment has become more important right now.The paper is based on the analysis about unreasonable exploitation of groundwater both domestic and foreign literature, including the restoration of the groundwater environment and evaluation system about rivers, wetlands and ecological, combined with water environment, ecological environment and geological environment problems which caused by the unreasonable exploitation of groundwater. In order to establish the evaluation system of groundwater environmental remediation by closing wells and reducing groundwater exploitation in groundwater overdraft areas, the following researches are carried out:(1)This paper summarizes the harm of unreasonable exploitation groundwater, analyses the meaning of closing wells and reducing groundwater quantity and research progress of the groundwater environment restoration. This paper analyses those problems which caused by the unreasonable exploitation of groundwater.(2)Based on the groundwater characteristics of groundwater overdraft areas, the selecting principle of indicators is put forward, such as purposeful, scientific, comprehensive, sustainability, and operability, etc. Combined with the engineering impact of closing wells and reducing groundwater quantity in different groundwater overdraft areas, this paper analyzes problems which caused by the unreasonable exploitation of groundwater. Evaluation system indexes are selected from three aspects:water environment, ecological environment and geological environment. Evaluation indexes are selected, including the situation of closing wells, the underground water level changes, the land subsidence rate changes, the spring flow changes, the vegetation coverage, etc.(3) By analyzing the relevant data in recent years, grading standards of evaluation indexes are built. Because of the complexity of closing wells and reducing groundwater exploitation, considering the groundwater balance, the evaluation system is established by using expert analysis method, MATLAB and AHP to determine the index weight.(4) In this paper, taking Taiyuan groundwater overdraft areas as the research object, combined with a series of problems caused by unreasonable exploitation of groundwater and recent research progress, groundwater environment of Taiyuan groundwater overdraft areas is evaluated according to the evaluation system which have already built.(5) From a quantitative angle, the evaluation results not only prove the groundwater remediation effectiveness of Taiyuan overdraft areas giving the macro grasp, but also offer the help for the further remediation work to provide guidance of water resources management and ecological construction in Taiyuan. It is advantageous to water resources optimal and reasonable allocation, the further planning of environment restoration and the sustainable and healthy development of economy and society in Taiyuan city.
