Abstract

In recent years, metal-organic frameworks have attracted muchattention, because of potential applications in many fields such asgas adsorption, catalysis, fluorescence and separation. As thesemi-rigid aromatic acid both have aromatic ring’s rigidity andflexibility between aromatic ring, and polycarboxylic acid can bepartly or completely removed protons under different pH, the ligandhave many coordination modes. We can get neoteric structure andexcellent properties of coordination polymers by using this organicligand. In this thesis, we synthesized six different kinds of structuresof coordination polymers by using three kinds of ligand and differentsolvent, and parse their crystal structures. They were characterizedby XRD, infrared spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Wealso study the properties of these coordination polymers. The mainwork is as follows:1. We synthesized two different kinds of structures ofcoordination polymers1and2under the same condition by using ligand L1,Cd(NO3)2·4H2O and different solvent. In coordinationpolymer1, each Cd (II) ion is octahedrally coordinated by six oxygenatoms. In coordination polymer2, Cd1is coordinated with sevenoxygen atoms to form distorted pentagon bipyramidal. Cd2, Cd3andCd4were six coordination pattern. Coordination polymers1and2form a two-dimensional cyclic annular structure, because of Cd (II) ionis coordinated by oxygen atoms. At last they form a three-dimensionalnetwork structure by the connection between Cd (II) ion and Carboxylfunctional groups. They were characterized by XRD, infraredspectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray diffraction,we also study theirluminescent property.2. We synthesized two different kinds of structures ofcoordination polymers3and4under the same condition by usingligand L2,Zn(NO3)2·6H2O and different solvent. In coordinationpolymer3and4, each Zn (II) ion is square pyramidally coordinated byfive oxygen atoms. Both polymers3and4form chains structure inone-dimensional direction, and then form Layer structure intwo-dimensional direction by the connection among the chains, atlast form a three-dimensional network structure. Although thestructure of coordination compounds3and4is the same, but theirtopology is different. Coordination compounds3is doubleinterpenetrating, and compounds4have no interpenetrating. This is due to the solvent that we have used is different.3. We synthesized two different kinds of structures ofcoordination polymers5and6under the same condition by usingligand L2,Cu(NO3)2·6H2O and different solvent. In coordination polymer5and6,each Cu(II) ion is coordinated with five oxygen atoms andanother Cu(II) ion. Coordination polymers5form chains structure inone-dimensional direction, and then form Layer structure intwo-dimensional direction by the connection among the chains, atlast form a three-dimensional network structure. Coordinationpolymers6form Spiral pipe shape by the connection between Cu(II)ion and part of oxygen atoms of carboxyl, and then stretch out thespace, formed a three-dimensional network structure.
