Abstract


pyridin-2-yl-bis（3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl）methane （bpz*mpy） as one kind ofpyrazole and pyridine derivatives, its special scorpion-type structure enhanced thecoodination ability and formed stable complexes with various transition metal ions.Complexes containing scorpion-type ligands have been well studied because of theirpotential applications in electrochemistry, catalysis and magnetic properties.The benzimidazole-based compound is benzo-heterocyclic compound containingtwo nitrogen atoms. Benzimidazole complexes are not only known for their biologicalactivity, but also intermidate of pharmaceuticals and pesticides. As functional ligands,benzimidazole and its derivatives have good coordination capacity and reactivity incoordination materials and other research fields, increasingly attention has been paidto and still very active.The contents of this paper are as follows:In the first chapter, we reviewed the pyrazole boron, pyrazolidine and pyridinewith pyrazole scorpion-type ligands and applications of the complexes. Further, wesummarized the synthesis of benzimidazole compounds and briefly introduced theapplication of their complexes.In the second chapter, we have synthesized N, N, N-tridentate chelating ligandpyridine-2-yl-bis（3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl）methane （bpz*mpy） that containing bothpyrazole and pyridine group by3,5-dimethyl-pyrazole-methanone and2-Pyridinecar-boxaldehyde as reactants. We also have obtained six novel complexes:[Fe（bpz*mpy）2]（ClO4）2（1），[Cu（bpz*mpy）2]（ClO4）2（2）,[Ag（bpz*mpy）（Ph3P）]（ClO4）·H2O （3）,[Co（bpz*mpy）2]（NO3）2（4），[Cu（bpz*mpy）2]（NO3）2（5），[Cu（bpz*mpy）]（N3）2（6）， byevaporation of a solution in methanol. A variable temperature magnetic susceptibilitystudy of complex （1） has been performed over the measured temperature range2-300K and indicated that there may be a very small amount of spin crossover. Furthermore,the electrochemical properties of complex （2） have also been investigated.In the third chapter, we have synthesized two novel benzimidazole ligands witho-phenylenediamine, salicylic acid, oxalic acid and ethyl chloroacetate as reactants.The ligands were characterized by FT-IR and1H-NMR, X-ray diffraction furtherconfirmed the crystal structures of the ligands.
