Abstract

In this paper, several new benzoxazine monomers were synthetized, at the same time, preparation and properties of high oil absorption resin containing cyclodextrin cavity were studied. The conclusions were as follows:In this work, committed to improving low crosslinking density, too high curing temperature and poor flame-retardance. A new class of methoxy-based benzoxazine monomers were designed and prepared, whose ring-opening polymerization process were studied. Molecular structures of these six benzoxazine monomers were confirmed by FTIR and1H NMR spectra. Among, the structure of Boz-11was further confirmed by XRD. Polymerization behavior of the monomers and thermostability of benzoxazine were studied by Thermogravimetric analyses (TGA). Effect of phenol substitution position on the network structure and properties of benzoxazine resin were investigated. Results show, when the para-position were occupied by methoxy group, the thermal properties of corresponding polybenzoxazine was superior to those with the ortho-position substituent group. Moreover, Effect of different structure of the amine on thermal performance of benzoxazine resin were discussed. At the same time, the introduction of the methoxyl group reduced the curing temperature of benzoxazine monomers and increased the char yield of benzoxazine resin. A new class of methoxy-based benzoxazine monomers have been synthesized with the same phenol and three different amine (methylamine, aniline and4,4’-diaminodiphenyl methane) as raw material. Benzoxazine resins were obtained by the thermal ring-opening polymerization of the benzoxazine monomers. The order of the thermal stability of the benzoxazine resin as follows:At the same time, the introduction of the methoxyl group reduced the curing temperature of benzoxazine monomers and increased the char yield of benzoxazine resin. The order of the thermal stability of the benzoxazine resin as follows:aromatic diamine> aromatic monoamine> aliphatic monoamine. The benzoxazine monomers with hydroxyl group were prepared from2-hydroxybenzaldehyde and P-aminophenol. Cyclotriphosphazene-based benzoxazine monomers were synthesized from cyclic phosphazene and the above-mentioned benzoxazine monomers. Molecular structures of synthesized compounds were characterized by FTIR,1H NMR and31P NMR. Polymerization behavior of the monomers and thermostability of benzoxazine were studied by TGA and FTIR. TGA curves show the5%and10%decomposition temperatures of the polymer are365℃and397℃with48.2%char yield.Through modifying the cyclodextrin, the cavity structure was introduced to the high oil absorption resin successfully. Using acryloyl chloride and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) occurred in the acylation reaction, active macromer has a lipophilic double body to be inside and outside of the bucket and double bond. The macromer β-CD-A, hard monomer styrene and acrylate ((isooctyl acrylate (2-EHA)、Hexadecyl acrylate (HDA)) as raw materials, the three component copolymer high oil-absorbing resin including the cyclodextrin cavity structure was prepared by suspension polymerization. The effects of monomer ratio, β-CD-A and DVB dosage, BPO dosage and the amount of dispersant on the properties of resins were studied, and the optimum conditions were determined by orthogonal test. The results show that, absorption performance of poly (CD-HDA-St) high oil-absorbing resin is higher than that of poly (CD-2-EHA-St) high oil-absorbing resin. Oil absorption ratios were25.6g/g in gasoline,37.2g/g in toluene,45.3g/g in chloroform and54.6g/g in CCl4, and the oil retention rate was as high as90%or more. Poly (CD-HDA-St) high oil-absorbing resin can be used repeatedly for5times.
