Abstract
Metal corrosion often happens in industrial production and causes huge economic damages. As a result, rust cleaning has always been a popular topic in science research. However, the traditional methods have many disadvantages including low efficiency and high environmental pollution. Thus, this article proposes a kind of effective and environmental friendly method, water abrasive jet rust cleaning, and relevant research is also conducted.Firstly, this article stimulates the flow field of premixed abrasive water jet under non-submersed condition by Fluent. The flow characteristics of flow field inside and outside nozzle is researched through the analysis of velocity field and pressure field. After changing the structure parameter of nozzle, the best result can be achieved when the inner cone angle a=13°, outlet diameter d=3mm, length-diameter ratio of cylinder l/d=3. As a result, the structure of nozzle is improved. After changing the process parameter of jet, it can be concluded that the velocity as well as the impact pressure of jet increases along with the increase of inlet pressure. The reduction of particle velocity decreases along with the increase of particle diameter. The velocity of jet decreases along with the increase of volume fraction. This conclusion provides an important theoretical basis for how to choose jet parameter in industrial production.Secondly, this article also simulates the process of multi-particles’ continue impact toward the target board and analyzes and researches the removal mechanism of target board material based on ANSYS/LS-DYNA. The research result shows that the remove rate of the target becomes stable after impacting for a certain number of times. The corrosion depth increases and corrosion area decreases along with the increase of the angle of approach. Moreover, both corrosion depth and corrosion volume increases along with the increase of particle diameter.
