Investment casting cutting machine is mainly used for cutting work-pieces oftree-group in investment casting foundry which widely used in metallurgy, cuttingmachinery, automobile, aerospace etc., investment casting cutting is one of the importantequipment in the process of getting precision castings. The efficiency and the safety ofcutting work-pieces of Investment casting, which have become an important factor inrestricting plant development. It has become an inevitable direction in its developmentprocess to achieve high-security, high-quality, high-automation on cutting the tree-groupwork-pieces of Investment casting.According to automation requirements of cutting the tree-group work-pieces ofinvestment casting, combined with the basic principles of mechanical design cuttingmachine, by the combination of mechanical and electrical knowledge, hardware andsoftware and complementary control, increased flexible cutting process and so on,designed the cutting machine control system. By studied and analyzed the developmentstatus of the cutting machine at home and abroad, according to the characters of theinvestment casting cutting, to make the control scheme. Determined to design a motioncontrol system based on PLC as the core of the control system, the touch screen as HMI.the sensors, proximity switches, pressure relay and the buttons as the input detectionsection. Hydraulic pump, hydraulic valve, stepper motor, water pump, three-phaseasynchronous motor as the output element, to set the investment casting cutting machinemotion control system. Based on these, to study and explore the following aspects.(1)Selected hardware of the control system. XINJIE TH765M Model as a humaninterface, XC5series PLC as the control core, the analog module E4ADE as analogreceiver module, external expansion modules selected XCE8X8R. selected pull-pressureMCL-S1S-type sensor as the pressure transmitter. the hydraulic power packLSBZ-J380/0.37-1.0-Y1.5-W-K2G4controlled the Work-piece handling system, thehydraulic power pack including hydraulic pumps, hydraulic solenoid valves, pressure relay.at the same time, including selected the moving parts such as stepper motor, steppermotor drive, the main motor, pump selection. And introduced the connection between thevarious parts and PLC.(2) According to the system control requirements, to design the programs. Theprograms of HMI including manual interface, automatic operation selection interface, input/output parameters. The PLC correspondence control system programs, contained themain program displayed on the touch screen data program, manual control program, singlea utomatic control procedures, automatic two-sided control procedures, hydraulic loadingand unloading procedures. In the single/double automatic cutting process, by theconsideration of cutting characteristics and safety, seclected the flexible control methodwhich is used self-tuning PID regulator comes from PLC to achieve the function of theadjustment about the force and speed to ensure constant cutting force in the process.(3)In order to make the investment casting cutting machine control timing tight, thusintroduced the theory of finite state machines which based on Matlab/Stateflow toolbox.designed the control timing logic model, simulated, and analyzed the model.this jobprovided a strong basis for sequential logic control. Simulation analysis could make thedebugging logic clearly and offerd a strong basis for the actual control the timing logic.(4) Installed the whole machine, commissioned, to ensure the reliability of the machine running.The system owned the high reliability and stability. Using the touch screen as ahuman interface, increased a humane system work, facilitation. Hydraulic loading andunloading work-pieces, pedal hydraulic clamping relaxation, the clamping process issimple and easy to operate. Detected the force by the pressure transmitter in the cuttingprocess, thereby regulating the table feed speed, improved cut quality, at the same time,ensured the fuselage and the safety of the staff. After installation and commissioning,realized the expected effect, the degree of automation has been largely improved. to thesecurity and workshop work environment has meted the needs of the staff.
