In the production process of the blast furnace, various raw materials in a certain proportion, such as sinter conglobation coke are transported to roof by the conveyor belt after they are accurately weighed. Then these materials enter the blast furnace through the various valves.The feeding mode, the distribution of the materials and the automation level are the major components of the feeding system. The automatic feeding system is designed to realize the programmable control and interlocking and sequence control. It directly monitors the operation status of all the equipment and is a basic link of the production process. It will have a direct impact on the production process as well as the quantity and quality of the products.Based on the PLC-based automatic feeding system, this article proposes the method of configuration simulation to make the monitoring of the automatic feeding system possible. This way, the automatic distribution of the materials, the basic functions of the automatic feeding system, and the interlocking and sequence control of the equipment and production process can be achieved, the configuration simulation pictures can be drawn, configuration variables can be defined, the basics of the configuration such as the control of the valves and the conveyor belts can be simulated.The control of the operation and status of the blast furnace as well as the checking, adjusting and alarming of the indicators can be achieved with this method, It can conduct the sequence control and PID adjustment control of all the equipment and production process according to the HMI operation instructions, operation figures and data given by the detectors. The real-time monitoring of the whole system is made possible through the operation of PLC program and the configuration simulation program.
