Abstract

The CLT acid is one of the annual consumption of more than ten thousand tonsof organic pigment intermediates. The wastewater generated in the productionprocess contains a large number of organic matters which are difficult to degrade, causing serious environmental pollution. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen thetreatment of CLT acid wastewater. Fenton reagent which has the advantages ofstrong oxidation, faster reaction rate and flocculation is widely used to treat withvarious kinds of refractory organic wastewater by people. This paper discusses thereaction mechanism of Fenton reagent and its application progress. The CLT acidwastewater is processed by Fenton reagent method and ultrasonic-Fenton reagentmethod. The Fenton reagent was used for the treatment of CLT acid wastewater. Theinfluences of different parameters like the dosage of Fe2+ and H2O2, pH value, reaction temperature, reaction time on removal efficiency of the wastewater wereinvestigated. And we discussed the mechanism of the influence factors. Consequently, the optimum reaction conditions were determined through the experiment. Theresults showed that when the Fe2+ dosage was8.0g/L, the H2O2(30%)dosage was2.0mL, pH was4, reacted120min at40℃, the CODCr, chrominance and TOC removalefficiency reached84.84%,88.9%and66.5%respectively.Then we improved the traditional Fenton method, and took theultrasonic-Fenton method to treat with CTL acid wastewater. It found that ultrasoundand Fenton reagent have good synergy to improve the oxidation efficiency of Fentonreagent, shorten the reaction time and improve the treatment effect. The optimumreaction conditions were determined through the experiment: initial pH=3, T=2040℃, the Fe2+ dosage was7.0g/L, the H2O2(30%)dosage was2.0mL and thereaction time was80min. Under the optimum reaction conditions, the CODCr,chrominance and TOC removal efficiency respectively reached89.6%,92.8%and73.8%. After processing the ultrasonic-Fenton reagent method, using activatedcarbon adsorption can continue to reduce CODCr, chrominance and TOC, eventuallyCODCr, chrominance and TOC removal efficiency of CLT acid wastewater were91.7%,94.2%and76.6%respectively.
