Abstract

Throughout the civilization of human beings, the use of heavy metals has been lasted for thousands of years, which has made great contributions to the development of human beings. However, with the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, the mining, metal smelting, machining operation, chemical industry production, and fertilizers, together with other activities have aggravated the concentration of heavy metals in the environment. Different countries have carried out the study of the treatment on heavy metals. With the development of genetic engineering technology, many scientists both at home and abroad hope that they can find a kind of engineering bacteria that not only can efficiently concentrate heavy metals, but also not cause a secondary damage to the environment. The1990s witnessed the development of remarkable achievements of transgenic of metallothionein (MT). This topic applies biological engineering technology, and bases on the characteristic of strong resistance of jujube trees, clones genes of metallothionein (ZJ-MT) of jujube trees which can combine heavy metals, connects genes of metallothionein of exogenous jujube trees to carriers that can express protein in prokaryotic biology, and transfers these carriers which contain genes of metallothionein in jujube trees into colibacillus to construct genetic engineering bacteria. On the base of expressing proteins stably, this paper has a further research on kinds, capacities and technological means of heavy metals in processing wastewater treatment of engineering bacteria’s chelation with heavy metals, hoping to provide basis for processing wastewater treatment of heavy metals in industrial. This study is a domestic one, and aims at cadmium, copper, lead, plasma and other ions contained mainly in polluted waste water of heavy metals in Shanxi Province, applies the adsorptive function of porous materials and chelating properties of jujube trees of metallothionein on heavy metal, carries out researches respectively, and unites and combines their advantages together to compare the difference in removing effects unitedly or separately. In the study of porous materials, this thesis also made some study on migratory kinetics, and gave some one-dimensional mathematical models is, and then solved those models. Those models are of great significance for us to understand adsorptive mechanism and process of porous materials on heavy metals. The result is that the removing effect of activated carbons is very ideal when united and the removing rate on lead and cadmium can reach more than95%, which is a great improvement than the use of adsorption and engineering bacteria separately when removing heavy metals. This research is based on previous experiments, and a combination of the adsorption of porous materials and chelation of engineering bacteria to heavy metals, applies it to the treatment of heavy metals in waste water. It has several obvious advantages:(1) Engineering bacteria are attached on porous materials, which is conducing to recycling and cleaning;(2) Engineering bacteria are attached on porous materials, which can operate continually;(3) Reducing secondary pollution and conducing to engineering management.
