Abstract

In order to provide a reference for designation of the small-caliber high explosive ammunition fuze, projectiles contacting different target at different, impact angle and impact velocity was simulated by LS-DYNA. Fuze ignition performance under different conditions was analyzed. The aerodynamic characteristics of the high explosive antiarmor shell at subsonic situation was simulated by FLUENT. Air flow field pressure, Mach number and the temperature distribution were analyzed. The drag coefficient and lift coefficient variation law were concluded. Booster charge detonating a shaped charge was simulated. The effects of explosive dosage on detonation performance was obtained.Through the simulation of projectile contacting steel plate at different speed and different angles, get the fuze initiation performance, the fuse ignition probability increase with the increase of speed and the increase of the thickness of the steel plate, fuze cannot be ignited beyond certain angle, causing ricochet.Through the aerodynamic characteristic simulation of projectile by subsonic case, the relationship between drag coefficient, lift coefficient and Mach number, attack angle was obtained. Air flow field pressure, Mach number and the temperature distribution were analyzed.Drag coefficient increases nonlinearly with the increase of Mach number, Lift coefficient increases with the increase of Mach number, Under the same Mach number, lift coefficient increases with the increase of the attack angle in a linear relationship. The drag coefficient of three different head shapes of projectile was analyzed to get the most optimal shape one.Through simulating the process of booster charge detonating a shaped charge, the influence of the booster doses for initiating a shaped charge was obtained. When explosive dosage was less than a certain amount, the booster could not reliably initiate a shaped charge. When explosive quantity was greater than a certain amount, the time needed for ignition gradually shorted with the increase of dose.Through simulating the process of the projectile contacting the soil with different velocity and different angles, fuze ignition function was obtained. In the case of the Angle was less than80°,fuze functioned normally under high or low speed.soil deformation was more apparent under high speed and the impact of the fuze was greater. The fuze could not work properly when the angle was greater than85°,the sliding distance of the projectile in the soil under high speed was farther.
