This paper focus on the content of infrared radiation characteristics of the target under different stealth measures, and did some research on developing a software for target’s infrared simulation. Mainly contain the following aspects:1.Based on commercial simulation software "FLUENT" and its limitation on target’s infrared simulation, combined with Command Transmission Technology and Computer Graphics Interactive Technology, than integrated Terrain Background Calculation Module and Infrared Radiation Calculation Module, finally complete the development of Vehicle’s Infrared Simulation Platform which integrate vehicle’s temperature calculation and IR calculation. The software’s usefulness can still be satisfactory. This platform provides an extremely economic and effective mean for IR simulation and demonstration, and is crucial to the stealth design and stealth technology assessment of armored vehicles.2.Based on the theory of temperature and infrared radiation, takes full account of weather condition, solar radiation,ground temperature, sky background radiation and other factors, using platform to calculate the temperature characteristic distribution and IR characteristic distribution of the vehicle without any stealth measure.On the one hand, it proved the usefulness of the software, on the other hand, by analyzing vehicle’s characteristic under different conditions, we get several feature points which IR detector would focus on.3.Depend on the feature points analyzed before, select several stealth measures that commonly used, mainly contain add stealth coating, add insulation, longer apron and infrared suppression. Calculating vehicle’s temperature and IR characteristic image under each stealth measure, than compare it with the characteristic of vehicle without stealth measure and analyze the difference. In addition, calculate the detective power of the vehicle with each stealth measure than compare it with the detective power of the vehicle without stealth measure, Through the data graph’s way to analyze the difference to confirm the stealth effect of different stealth measures. The results show that each stealth measure can improve vehicle’s characteristics distribution in varying extent and it have some reference value and guiding significance to stealth design and assessment.
